Ohio…..Disabled motor vehicle, drug possession (felony), trafficking in marijuana (additional charges possible): Chagrin Boulevard
While assisting on a car with a flat tire around 11 p.m. May 10, police noticed a strong odor of raw marijuana and asked if any drugs were on board.
The driver, a Cleveland Heights woman, 19, admitted that there were. Police soon found about 5.5 ounces (approximately 154 grams) of marijuana, along with roughly 23 grams of edible THC products, a digital scale and sandwich bags.
The potential felony resulted from an undetermined number of individual doses of suspected LSD that were also found in the car; they have been forwarded to the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) crime lab for further analysis. They were grouped in a sheet of foil that local officers did not want to fully open and risk contact exposure to the possible hallucinogens.
Police also seized $3,900 in cash for the evidence locker, noting that there were also at least two other passengers in the car.
