“Houseplant is a passion we’ve brought to life through drive and dedication,” said Seth Rogen, Co-Founder of Houseplant. “Every decision we’ve made for the business reflects the years of education, first-hand experience and respect we have for cannabis.”
Based in Canada, the home country of both men, the brand’s first product is experienced to be called Houseplant Sativa and will be available in early April in British Columbia and surrounding areas. Afterward it plans to launch Houseplant Hybrid and Houseplant Indica, eventually followed by pre-rolled joints and gels. The cannabis it sells will come from Canada’s Canopy Growth, which also has a minority stake in the company.
“Houseplant represents years of product expertise and unmatched attention to detail within each strain that has been carefully selected and grown,” Canopy Growth said in a statement.“Commitment to cannabis quality begins with selecting the best genetics and doesn’t stop until the customer opens the jar. Canopy Growth has witnessed how carefully Houseplant has chosen each component of their offering to deliver the highest quality product to Canadians.”
Rogen and Goldberg are fan from the first celebrities to join the cannabis space. Most recently, CJ Wallace, son of the Notorious B.I.G announced he was getting into cannabis with the launch of his brand Think Big, honoring his father.
