UK Police Find Weed Factory In Hinckley Leicestershire

Police have seized an estimated half a million pounds worth of drugs following the execution of a warrant in Hinckley.

Around 600 cannabis plants, estimated to be worth around £460,000, were found at a premises in Lime Kilns Way, off Hammonds Way, yesterday(Thursday 21 December).

Following the discovery, a 41-year-old man from Hinckley was arrested on suspicion of the production of cannabis and is currently in custody.

The warrant was executed following information received from the local community by the Hinckley and Blaby Neighbourhood Priority Team.

Sergeant Dave Cleaver said: “If anyone has any information relating to the discovery of these plants, or suspects cannabis plants are being grown in their neighbourhood, please let police know.

“Information we receive from the community is vital to putting a stop to the production and supply of drugs on our streets and along with our local partners we will act on intelligence we receive.

“I would like to thank our local community in Hinckley for coming forward with details which led to the discovery of this large cannabis growth and an arrest.”
