During the raid, police officials confiscated two cars — a 2009 Mercedes Benz C Series, a 2014 Dodge Charger — and more than $26,000 cash as well as $68,000 worth of marijuana items, during the initial search in the 100 block of Kevin Drive.

Authorities also searched the renter’s address and arrested 35-year-old Donovan Hollier on a charge of possessing marijuana with intent to distribute it, the Associated Press reported.

He is currently in the Acadia Parish Jail and held under a $150,000 bail bond. Police said that Hollier could also face additional charges after the investigation is complete.

Duson Police Chief Kip Judice reportedly said the residence was rented in June 2018 and remained uninhabited except for two vicious dogs, and a python snake. The suspect allegedly kept them to scare away thieves and police.
