When conducting the raids, police uncovered cannabis plants growing in two areas at one of the properties, Detective Sergeant Dave Thompson said.

“The first was a large tent, the second a hidden room. Police also located a quantity of dried cannabis head material ready for sale.”

At the second property, police found about 500 stalks drying out, with buds attached, and two bins of manicured head.

Between the bins and the buds drying, its estimated police uncovered about 7kg of cannabis.

The men, aged 24 and 33, were arrested and have appeared in the Palmerston North District Court on charges including cultivation and possession of cannabis for supply.
