Luxembourg customs officers stopped a van from Spain on 18 December and discovered 2.5 million euros’ worth of drugs.

Officers discovered the drugs with the help of dog handlers. Upon searching the van, they found 262 kilos of hashish and 51.6 kilos of marijuana, worth around 2.5 million euros.

Some days earlier, officers were able to catch a heroin and cocaine dealer in southern Luxembourg after a long investigation in collaboration with their Belgian counterparts. The dealer, a Belgian, had regularly visited the Grand Duchy to sell his wares. When taken into custody, he was carrying 200g heroin, 50g of cocaine and €3,500 in cash, all of which was seized by police.
