Boxing legend Mike Tyson has admitted he was high when he beat Andrew Golota in 2000.
Staged in Michigan and dubbed the Showdown in Mowtown, Tyson was seeking a third straight win as he targeted a shot at heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis.

His opponent that night, Poland’s Andrew Golota, was equally as controversial and was known for twice being disqualified against Riddick Bowe, earning the name ‘Foul Pole’ with the first fight ending in a mass riot at Madison Square Garden.
As expected, Tyson dominated the much larger man, who failed to answer the bell for the third round, telling the referee he did not want to continue and therefore securing Tyson victory via technical knockout.
