ACT Policing has been granted a restraining order over a $1.1 million Higgins residence where officers uncovered a sophisticated hydroponic cannabis growing operation spread across multiple rooms.

Last Friday, police raided the property and seized 31 cannabis plants and a single barrel shotgun.

No arrests have been made but police would like to speak to the 40-year-old owner of the property who was not home at the time the search warrant was executed.

Police have urged the man to present himself to Belconnen Police Station.

Last April police uncovered a large-scale commercial cannabis grow house in Kaleen after a tip-off from the public.

More than 200 plants in various growing stages and a significant amount of equipment were seized at the property.
