WHITE RIVER, S.D. — A Sioux Falls man has been arrested and charged with felony drug possession after an early-morning pursuit near White River on Sunday.
According to the Mellette County Sheriff’s office, deputies were notified that Rosebud Police units were pursuing a black GMC Denali on US 83 just before 3 a.m. Sunday. To assist the Rosebud units Mellette County deputies set up spike strips south of White River, eventually stopping the vehicle.
Authorities searched the vehicle and found $1200 in cash and approximately 20 pounds of marijuana. A 41-year-old man from Sioux Falls was arrested and charged with felony drug possession.
