Emergency Services Answering Call In Western Sydney Find Grow House

I think we could probably report on this sort of story daily at the moment

The Sydney Morning Herald reports….Emergency services have uncovered a cannabis crop in each of the five bedrooms of a suburban home in Sydney’s south-west after responding to reports the house was on fire.

Firefighters contained the blaze to the front of the single-storey house after being called to the property at Percy St, Bankstown, at 6.15pm, but discovered an enhanced cannabis set-up when they checked if anyone was inside the rest of the home.

Fire and Rescue NSW handed the site over to Bankstown police after declaring it safe at 8.15pm.

Investigators are now searching for those responsible for the hydroponic crop, with police keeping guard at the scene of the suspicious fire overnight.

Police believe at least five rooms in the home are being used for the cultivation of cannabis, NSW Police said in a statement.
