California – Huntington Police Arrest Duo Who Were Exchanging Stolen Garden Tools For Weed

Two men were arrested Wednesday morning on felony drug charges, according to a release from the Huntington Police Department.

Detectives from the Special Investigation Bureau executed a search warrant in the 1200 block of 25th Street, a location that had been the subject of numerous complaints to the police’s tip line, according to the release. Police say they seized heroin, pills and cash in the search.

Police also say they discovered numerous stolen items that had been traded for drugs. Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Bureau removed two pick-up trucks full of lawn mowers, weed eaters, power tools, bicycles and hand tools.

Lyman McCoy, 53, of Huntington, was charged with delivery of controlled substance and possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. Larry McCoy, 50, also of Huntington, was charged with conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance.

Code enforcement officers issued a “Do Not Occupy” order on the residence based on various code violations.
